WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR TUESDAY.

THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN WILMINGTON NC HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE WEST & INCREASE TO 25 TO 35 MPH BY LATE TUES MORNING. WIND GUSTS NEAR 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE. MAINLY DURING THE LATE MORNING & EARLY AFTERNOON HRS.

THE STRONG WINDS WILL DEVELOP IN RESPONSE TO A COLD FRONT WHICH WILL CROSS THE REGION TUES MORNING.& LOW PRESSURE THAT WILL INTENSIFY RAPIDLY OFF THE COAST OF NJ & DE. WINDS WILL SUBSIDE TUES NIGHT AS THE PRESSURE GRADIENT RELAXES.

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE 31 TO 39 MPH OR GUSTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN 46 & 57 MPH. WINDS OF THESE MAGNITUDES MAY CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE WITHOUT EXTRA PRECAUTIONS. MOTORISTS IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD USE CAUTION UNTIL THE WINDS SUBSIDE.
