Young Australian gets 20 years in Bali drug case - Asia-Pacific - MSNBC.com

"Indonesia, like many Asian nations, imposes tough penalties for drug offences. Australian media have reported that judge Sirait has never acquitted a defendant in some 500 drugs trials. He could have given Corby the death sentence.": Jesus... what do they do with murderers over there? Kill them and then sentence their souls to hell?

Don't you think this is over reaction in the punishment? Seriously, it just doesn't fit the crime. If Bali wants to have a court system like the rest of the free world, someone really needs to explain about over-punishment. You don't ground a child to his room for a year because he stole cookies. I know drugs arent cookies, but robery is robery at any age, you just have to make the punishment fit the crime and person. A tourist should be kicked out of the country and not allowed back in... then let that person's country decide how best to punish them.

But in this womans case, I think she is innocent. And there seems to be allot of that in Bali's jails.
